Borderline personality disorder affects how you feel about yourself, how you relate to others and how you behave.

When you have borderline personality disorder, you often have an insecure sense of who you are. That is, your self-image or sense of self often rapidly changes. You may view yourself as evil or bad, and sometimes may feel as if you don’t exist at all. An unstable self-image often leads to frequent changes in jobs, friendships, goals and values.

Your relationships are usually in turmoil. You often experience a love-hate relationship with others. You may idealize someone one moment and then abruptly and dramatically shift to fury and hate over perceived slights or even minor misunderstandings. This is because people with the disorder often have difficulty accepting gray areas — things seem to be either black or white.

Borderline personality disorder symptoms may include:

Impulsive and risky behavior, such as risky driving, unsafe sex, gambling sprees or illegal drug use
Strong emotions that wax and wane frequently
Intense but short episodes of anxiety or depression
Inappropriate anger, sometimes escalating into physical confrontations
Difficulty controlling emotions or impulses
Suicidal behavior
Fear of being alone

When to see a doctor
People with borderline personality disorder often feel misunderstood, alone, empty and hopeless. They’re typically full of self-hate and self-loathing. They may be fully aware that their behavior is destructive, but feel unable to change it. Poor impulse control may lead to problems with gambling, driving or even the law. They may find that many areas of their lives are affected, including social relationships, work or school.

If you notice these things about yourself, talk to your doctor or a mental health provider. The right treatment can help you feel better about yourself and help you live a more stable, rewarding life.

If you notice these things in a family member or friend, talk to him or her about seeing a doctor or mental health provider. But keep in mind that you can’t force someone to seek help. If the relationship is causing you significant stress, you may find it helpful to see a therapist yourself.

This article will be focusing on the symptoms of colon cancer in young women and how it can greatly affect one’s health if not treated early.

    What Is Colon Cancer?

Colon cancer is also known as the cancer affecting the large intestines of our body. In the United States, it is said to be the third type of cancer that kills people no matter what age or gender. Although majority of the people who have this would be the elders, it is still likely to see symptoms of colon cancer in young women and men.

    Colon Cancer Strikes Anyone!

Colon cancer is one of the most life threatening diseases anyone can have. Several records show that even young people are susceptible with this disease if something goes terribly wrong with your body system. The symptoms of colon cancer in young women are not very much different from the symptoms experienced by adults or elder people.

Who Is At Risk At Colon Cancer?

Like what is mentioned earlier, records show that symptoms of colon cancer in young women is also possible to arise if you hold the following:

- If you are diagnosed to have other types of cancer or intestine related disorder currently.

- If you are diagnosed to have colorectal polypscrohn’s disorder.

- If anyone from your family is suffering or have suffered from colon cancer.

- If you or anyone from your family has breast cancer.

- If you are diagnosed to have ulcerative colitis.

Furthermore, symptoms of colon cancer in young women depend on the severity of the case. There are times when you do not feel anything, which is why you end up knowing it only when you are older, and when the symptoms of colon cancer in young women is already severe.

What Are The Most Common Symptoms Of Colon Cancer In Young Women?

Again, symptoms of colon cancer in young women may always vary. But just to give you a heads up on some of the most recorded type of symptoms, please see the following bullets I have for you below:

    Weight loss
Bloating
The skin on your breast feels heavier than the usual, and the color is reddish.
Sudden appearance of rashes.
Your nipples change in color
Discharge is flowing from your nipple.
Unexplainable bleeding
If you have a mole, it usually changes in color.
Difficulty in swallowing
Blood in stool and urine
Development of lymph nodes
Fever
Cough

These are the most common symptoms of colon cancer in young women. If you happen to experience any of them, seek a professional immediately to give you the proper medication.

    How To Treat Colon Cancer

Luckily, with some of our advanced technologies available in the medical field, it is much easier to cure the colon cancer today. However, it is still best to prevent it from happening than curing it. It is said that calcium is one of the most vital nutrient to take in order to prevent the symptoms of colon cancer in young women and men to arise.

Symptoms of Lukemia in Women Description

Symptoms of Leukemia in Women: Symptoms of Leukemia in Women: Leukemia is cancer of white blood cells that abnormal white blood cell multiply at an increase rate. Leukemia in women or children begins in the bone marrow and spreads to other parts of the body. What do you know about signs and symptoms of leukemia in women? First occurring signs in the development of acute forms of leukemia are bruising and bleedings caused by the decreased number of platelets, fatigue and pales due to the anemia caused by insufficient red blood cells, reoccurring infections and late healing due to abnormal number and function of white blood cells. Sometimes the onset of symptoms is more gradual with low grade fever, weakness, chills, recurrent infections or lassitude, lasting for days or months before visual symptoms occur.

Signs and Symptoms of Leukemia in Women:

The symptoms of leukemia depend on where these cells collect in the body and the number of leukemia cells. The following symptoms of leukemia in women will help you catch cancer early and get treated for it as soon as possible: swollen lymph nodes, weakness, bruising, abnormal bleeding, unexpected infections, chronic cough. Fatigue, frequent fever, abdominal pain and weight loss along with swollen lymph nodes in the neck. These symptoms are however not specific for the Leukemia condition and for a precise diagnose further testing is required such as analysis of blood and bone marrow. Specific AML symptoms include, local infections such as joint pain, abdominal fullness and laryngitis. See a doctor and find out if these are warning signs of leukemia or another important disease.

The women with leukemia often have less than the normal amount of healthy red blood cells and platelets. Reserch shows that consumption of vegetable and fruits will help reducing the risk of being diagnosed with a cancer of the lymphatic system. The women who exposted to very high levels of radiation are more likely than others to get cml (chronic myeloid leukemia or chronic myelogenous leukemia), all (acute lymphoblastic leukemia or acute lymphocytic leukemia) and aml (acute myelogenous leukemia or acute myeloid leukemia). And also the women with Down syndrome and certain other inherited diseases or who have the relations with leukemia are at increased risk for leukemia.

Leukemia in women Treatment

1) Chemotherapy: using durgs to destroy or stop leukemia cells from growing. The chemotherapy will vary from person to person. The women with leukemia will be received diffent amounts and kinds of drugs. The drugs may be given in pill form or put right into the veins with an IV (intravenous injection)
2) Using radiation therapy : Doctor will decide that a patient should do better with this method instead of chemotherapy.
3) Bone Marrow (BMT) or Cord Blood Transplantation: This treatment method is used for women whose leukemia is progressing very fast. Bone Marrow Transplantation is’nt a method for everyone. There are a lot of factor which the doctor have to decide. Some patients don’t survive the Bone Maroow Transplantion method.

Leukemia treatment side effects

Side effects from leukemia treatment very from person to person. Leukemia treatment may cause problems such as medication damages a heart, liver, kidney and go after any quickly dividing cell which may or may not be abnormal cell. And not all drugs produce the same side effects. Some case chemotherapy can cause hair loss. The patients who using radiation therapy may feel very tired after the treatment.

One of the biggest problems regarding Endometriosis is that the signs of this disease in the early stages, appear to be the ‘normal’ bodily changes that take place with the menstrual cycle.

It is only as time goes by that a woman begins to suspect that what is happening, and the symptoms she feels are not normal. The pain of her menstrual cycle gradually and steadily becomes worse and worse as the months go by. This is only the beginning of what will become a gradual decline in a woman’s general health, as well as the health of her reproductive system.

Having said that, there are odd instances where some women do actually have Endometriosis, but they are nearly free of any symptoms. These women will only be diagnosed by default, for example when they have surgery for other issues, and only then is Endometriosis found. That is what makes this disease so enigmatic.

Endometriosis does not follow any distinct pattern, which is why it is difficult for the medical profession to know that a woman has the disease. Some of the symptoms will mimic those of other health problems, including:

ovarian cysts
ectopic pregnancy
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
irritable bowel syndrome
ovarian cancer
fibroid tumours
colon cancer
appendicitis

The most common symptoms of Endometriosis are:

Pain before and during periods
Pain with intercourse
General, chronic pelvic pain throughout the month
Low back pain
Heavy and/or irregular periods
Painful bowel movements, especially during menstruation
Painful urination during menstruation
Fatigue
Infertility
Diarrhoea or constipation

Other symptoms which are common with Endometriosis include:

Headaches
Low grade fevers
Depression
Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar)
Anxiety
Susceptibility to infections, allergies

In the later stages of Endometriosis, adhesions usually develop in the pelvic cavity, which are caused by untreated cysts, which can ‘glue’ pelvic organs together. These adhesions will seriously interfere with normal functions of organs in the pelvis, causing bowel obstructions, digestive problems, infertility, urinary problems, agonizing pains when the adhesions are pulled, mobility problems.

As Endometriosis develops a woman’s immune system becomes more and more impaired and this leads to further health problems. Due to increased research, as well as surveys of Endometriosis patients, it is now becoming clear that women with the disease are susceptible to other serious health problems including:

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (100 times more common in women with endometriosis)
ME Hypothyroidism – under-active Thyroid gland (7 times more common in women with endometriosis)
Fibromyalgia
Rheumatoid arthritis

Some of these findings are from data of the world’s largest research registry on Endometriosis, which includes figures for the women with the disease, as well as members of her family. These figures are not conclusive and do not give the whole picture to include geography, economics etc. They do show that women with Endometriosis are slightly more susceptible to these other diseases, but other members of their family seem to have a higher percentage of risk to develop these diseases. So we could be looking at environmental health issues here, rather than the results relating solely to Endometriosis.

It does seem clear that as women with Endometriosis are more receptive to other health problems, then their immune system is the key to their problems.

No two women will have the same symptoms for Endometriosis, and will not suffer the same knock-on health problems, but the most common symptom experienced among Endometriosis sufferers is acute pain.

In some instances the pain of Endometriosis can prohibit a woman to partake in every day activities as well as her ability to sustain a career.

A bowel obstruction happens when either your small camera or large intestine camera is partly or completely blocked. The blockage prevents food, fluids, and gas from moving through the intestines in the normal way. The blockage may cause severe pain that comes and goes.

This topic covers a blockage caused by tumors, scar tissue, or twisting or narrowing of the intestines. It does not cover ileus, which most commonly happens after surgery on the belly (abdominal surgery).
What causes a bowel obstruction?

In the small intestine, scar tissue is most often the cause. Other causes include hernias and Crohn’s disease, which can twist or narrow the intestine, and tumors, which can block the intestine. A blockage also can happen if one part of the intestine folds like a telescope camera into another part, which is called intussusception.

In the large intestine, cancer is most often the cause. Other causes are severe constipation from a hard mass of stool, and narrowing of the intestine caused by diverticulitis or inflammatory bowel disease.
What are the symptoms?

Symptoms include:

Cramping and belly pain that comes and goes. The pain can occur around or below the belly button.
Vomiting.
Bloating.
Constipation and a lack of gas, if the intestine is completely blocked.
Diarrhea, if the intestine is partly blocked.
In case you feel symptoms that are problematic to identify by yourself, make use of a friend or relative that will help you understand them and that means you are much better able to cope with them.

Bipolar disorder 2 is a kind of emotional disease that is recognized along with swift changes in moods where mood swing raises during particular periods during the day. The disorder is different from bipolar disorder 1 because a individual suffering from the disorder does not existing symptoms of psychosis. Bipolar disorder 2 takes place when man or woman feel a minumum of one main depressive event as well as hypomanic episode. Depressive attacks happen often plus they are much more intensive in comparison to manic episodes. Largest risk of committing suicide is connected with this disorder. Warning symptoms of bipolar disorder can be found in the individuals at a young age or or about 20, that consists of sudden high in good mood, insomnia etc. In some cases, it also showed up after the age of 50.

People who have bipolar disorder 2 expend thirty five times additional time feeling depressed than hypomanic. Bipolar disorder 2 is more similar to a major depression than a bipolar 1. But, this does not mean that bipolar disorder 2 can easily be viewed such as unipolar depression.

It is often wrongly assumed that hernia affects only men. Hernia can be seen in women and children also, although I will agree that hernia is a common condition in men as compared to women. It is commonly seen that many people refuse to undergo hernia treatment for their fear of surgery, however, it is important to note that it can be life-threatening condition, hence should not be neglected. There are many hernia types. Symptoms of the different types of hernia are dependent on the location of the hernia. There are some types, which are more commonly seen in women as opposed to men. The location of the hernia, has an important role to play when one has to assess the hernia symptoms in women. Hernia affecting women are often small and are not visible externally.

What Is Hernia?

An abnormal protrusion of a part of an organ through the tissues is labeled as hernia. Hernia protrudes out through the tissue, which contains it. This condition is a result of laxity of muscles. Hernia protrusion is often seen through intestinal or abdominal fatty tissue, wall of a muscle or a membrane. It is the abdomen and upper thigh area, where the hernia protrusion is often seen. The term hernia can be used to refer to other bulges, however, its usage is more often in terms of hernia of the abdominal wall. Hernia by themselves does not show symptoms but there is always the risk of blood supply being cut off. In such cases, it becomes an emergency and surgery might be required.

Hernia Symptoms in Women

As mentioned earlier, symptoms of hernia vary depending upon the type of hernia. Commonly found hernia symptoms in female are mentioned below:

Bulge: As the protrusion makes it way through, a bulge or swelling becomes evident under the skin of the abdominal wall. Activities such as exercising, coughing, lifting and straining put more strain on the abdominal muscles, which in turn leads to increase in size of the protrusion.

Pain: The next common symptom is pain. The degree of pain varies from dull to severe. Pain is caused due to the tissue being stretched or torn. The pain is often localized pain, directly on the hernia site itself. The other cause of pain is irritation or damage of the nerve, where the hernia is located.

Nausea, Vomiting and Constipation: If the hernia grows inside the intestine, it causes obstruction in the normal flow of food through the intestine. This results in nausea and vomiting. When the blockage is partial, it will lead to nausea without any signs of vomiting. At the same time, it can cause loss of appetite. In case of complete blockage of intestine, it can also cause severe constipation.

Urinary Problems: Like the intestine, if the bladder is blocked due to hernia, it can cause urinary burning, bladder stones, frequent infections in the urinary tract, hesitancy in urinating or increased frequency of urination.

Acid Reflux: When the protrusion bulges into the diaphragm, it gives rise to condition like heartburn, indigestion and other symptoms related to acid reflux. In some cases, it can also cause pain in the chest, stomach upset, sour taste in the mouth, etc.

Other Symptoms: Hernia can also cause impotence or painful intercourse in women.

Hiatus hernia refers to a condition where the upper portion of the stomach protrudes into the chest through an opening around the esophagus. This opening is called the esophageal hiatus; usually it allows only the esophagus to pass through the diaphragm into the stomach, but occasionally it opens wide enough to permit part of the stomach to pass upwards into the chest cavoty. This happens because of weakening of the muscles of the diaphragm and subsequent enlargement of the opening. This is called “herniation”; the upward passage or even entrapment of the upper stomach above the diaphragm which results from this can cause pain, acid reflux, belching, difficulty eating, and other uncomfortable symptoms. Hiatal hernia is comparatively common. Up to 60% of 60 year olds have it to some degree.

There are 2 types of hiatal hernia: first, the sliding type, which happens when the junction between the stomach and esophagus moves up through the esophageal hiatus from time to time, for example during times of greatly increased pressure in the abdomen, as may occur when coughing, straining for a bowel movement, lifting heavy weights, and so on. When the excessive pressure reduces, the stomach moves back down to its correct location.

The fixed type of hiatus hernia (or paraesophageal hiatus hernia) is where a portion of the stomach remains stuck in the chest cavity.

Causes of Hiatal Hernia

Suspected causes include obesity, poor posture (such as slouching), frequent coughing, straining during bowel movements, bending over or heavy lifting, and a congenital predisposition. Smoking, too, may be a factor.

Hiatus Hernia Symptoms

Often, a hiatus hernia causes no symptoms. When it does they may include chest pain or a feeling of pressure, heartburn, trouble swallowing, coughing, belching, hiccups, and pain. Chest or upper abdominal pain can occur when the stomach becomes trapped over and above the diaphragm, protruding through the narrow esophageal opening or hiatus.

Other problems occur rather rarely. For example, a fixed hiatus hernia may develop into a serisous medical emergency: the blood supply to the trapped part of the stomach may be cut off, which can cause extreme pain and illness. This ”strangulated hiatal hernia” is a medical emergency.

Hiatus hernia also causes discomfort when it occurs with gastroesophageal reflux disease, commonly called GERD. This is characterized by stomach acids and digestive enzymes moving into the esophagus through the unusually weak sphincter muscle – normally, of course, this acts as a one-way valve between the esophagus and stomach. Hiatus hernia is associated with the weakening of this sphincter muscle.

Although hiatus hernia or GERD can cause chest pain which resembles angina (a collective word for heart pain) and even radiate to the arm or neck, it’s wise not to conclude that such pain is due to hiatus hernia. See a doctor to eliminate the possibility of serious problems such as coronary artery disease or heart attack.

Certainly, if you experience any of the following you should seek medical attention.

When the symptoms are new, won’t go away, or severe

When it is not clear what the problem may be

When you have chest pressure or pain, especially if you have known heart disease, or diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, you are over 55 years of age, or there is a family history of heart attacks or angina at an early age

If you are vomiting blood

If you have dark, bloody bowel movements

You experience palpitations or feel faint

You are short of breath

You cannot swallow solid food or liquids easily

Some inguinal hernias don’t cause any symptoms, and you may not know you have one until your doctor discovers it during a routine medical exam. Often, however, you can see and feel the bulge created by the protruding intestine. The bulge is usually more obvious when you stand upright, especially if you cough or strain.

Inguinal hernia signs and symptoms include:

A bulge in the area on either side of your pubic bone

A burning, gurgling or aching sensation at the bulge

Pain or discomfort in your groin, especially when bending over, coughing or lifting

A heavy or dragging sensation in your groin

Weakness or pressure in your groin

Occasionally, in men, pain and swelling in the scrotum around the testicles when the protruding intestine descends into the scrotum

Signs and symptoms in children
Inguinal hernias in newborns and children result from a weakness in the abdominal wall that’s present at birth. Sometimes the hernia may be visible only when an infant is crying, coughing or straining during a bowel movement. In an older child, a hernia is likely to be more apparent when the child coughs, strains during a bowel movement or stands for a long period of time.

When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you have a painful or noticeable bulge in the area on either side of your pubic bone. The bulge is likely to be more noticeable when you’re standing upright, and you usually can feel it if you put your hand directly over the affected area.

You should be able to gently and easily push the hernia back into your abdomen when you’re lying down. If not, applying an ice pack to the area may reduce the swelling enough so that the hernia slides in easily. Lying with your pelvis higher than your head also may help.

If you still aren’t able to push the hernia in, the herniated intestine may have become trapped (incarcerated) in the abdominal wall — a serious condition that may require immediate medical attention. This condition may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fever, rapid heart rate, sudden pain that quickly intensifies, and a hernia bulge that turns red, purple or dark. If any of these signs or symptoms occur, call your doctor right away.
