Implications of Asthma From a Personal Prospective

Asthma prevented me some things I really wanted to do, either educational or professional. Although I had two good years in college, I had the opportunity on the athletics team, adding cross-country skiing, which I loved. When I am older and my asthma started to burn again (I’m sure it was probably due to stress) was not able to run both. As much as I loved running when I could, I’m all the way not to run into the situation, even with my own children and friends discouraged. In fact, sometimes I could hardly walk, even to my classes on campus. I need more time to go to school, so I have prepared in advance. There were times when I was pushing very hard to receive in class on time and was very uncomfortable in the kind of panting, sweating and panting. After he graduated from high school, my plans were incorporated into the Air Force. However, because they are not posted on the rescue inhaler incorporated into the army was. I had hoped to become the first woman in my family, was to perpetuate the legacy of the Air Force on the maternal side of the family. I also saw the army in order to pay for my college education to help.

In addition, affected my ability to work well. In High School when I worked as a certified nursing assistant I missed a few days due to asthma and bronchitis me. As an adult, that my ability has affected at a reasonable pace on some days of work. For years I worked in a kindergarten for the most part outside. There were days it was really a challenge to its operation. I had to keep a few too many clothes warm. In addition, it is for me, certain tasks, such as in some of the days that I was having trouble breathing was difficult to perform, he could not continue with my colleagues.

My pregnancy was a challenge because I wanted my light asthma. Because of my asthma, my first pregnancy was induced two weeks earlier. was induced with my second because I have struggled to breathe (my son was too big). The third pregnancy was not so bad, but I had my moments with her, especially when the acid reflux that my asthma is due. After my first pregnancy I went to a specialist for asthma. Typically, a new patient is to undergo a stress test, but in my case, the doctor refused to cross. I struggled a reading on the spirometer, which was obtained on three occasions. It did not help that my grandmother was 80 ex-husband, had asthma, and I could fly into a spirometer.

When I came back senior in 2006, in my third semester I became ill with pneumonia at the right time at the finale. Fortunately for me, I had all the regents classes online or I’m not sure how my teacher, who have treated my hospitalization at the end of the semester.

My years at university, I decided to switch to courses on campus can resume. I needed to health services between my classes and my breathing treatments are often go without breakfast. He also took my time to my teaching to walk or even climb stairs most. Every day I carry an inhaler in your pocket or purse. At night he is under my pillow if necessary. At the age of 33, he is sometimes annoying when I am not able to cope with my classmates or even my own children.

There were times when I sit and cry with frustration and anger that I could not breathe. Sometimes I try to get my breath, just to get up out of bed and go to the toilet is only 10 m.

What I learned is that my asthma is the difficulty with concentration, which has affected my ability to learn and my notes. For this reason, my average was makes me take extra courses to increase my GPA when I graduated. If I managed to get my college degree, still working on the control of asthma to enjoy life as fully as possible.

For me, I can not disappoint me much. I can walk, canoeing and swimming occasionally in my home Tennessee. I love nature and could not imagine sitting in my asthma to take control of me.
